The ACFE Mentoring Program connects anti-fraud professionals at any stage in their career with other members. Whether you’re just starting out or have been a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) for many years, there’s a place for you in the mentoring program.
For Mentees
If you’re interested in signing up as a mentee, the ACFE Mentoring Program connects you to more than 750 CFEs from all over the world who can offer you a wealth of resources, experiences, advice and guidance. Through the program, you have access to many tools that will help you:
Create a realistic, yet challenging goal.
Match with a mentor who has the skills and expertise to best help you.
Develop a plan with your mentor to accomplish your goals.
For Mentors
If you’re interested in signing up as a mentor, there are more than 1,500 anti-fraud professionals who are ready and willing to learn from your experiences in this profession. You will get the chance to help someone accomplish a task aligned with your specific expertise. Many mentors express that they feel inspired and invigorated in their own roles after mentoring someone.
For Everyone
Here’s what you need to know about the ACFE Mentoring Program.
1. Enrollment is free for all ACFE members in good standing.
The ACFE Mentoring Program is hosted through the ACFE’s online community. Once you log in and create your mentoring program profile, mentees can use the Mentor Directory to find the mentors who are best suited to their specific goals. All of the mentoring resources are in the community as well, so it’s as simple as logging in to download and save them. Please note that to sign up as a mentor, you must have the CFE credential.
2. The next session officially begins on January 13, 2020.
This is our official start date for the first session of 2020, but the Mentor Directory is open right now. You can log in to the online community, sign up as a mentor or mentee, and create your profile. If you sign up as a mentee, you can start looking through the Mentor Directory to find someone you’d like to work with. There are instructions in the community on how to request a mentor.
3. There are no stringent requirements for participating in the mentoring program.
Participants can choose to meet by phone, video chat, email or in person and commit to meeting with their partner for at least an hour each month. How this meeting happens is up to you and your partner, and you are welcome to meet more often, but this is the baseline amount that we ask of each person.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in joining, enrollment for the upcoming session of the ACFE Mentoring Program is now open. Visit the Mentoring Program homepage for more information about the program. Or if you’re ready to enroll right now, click one of the buttons below.
