Jeanette LeVie, ACFE Chief Operating Officer, Celebrates Retirement After 32 Years of Service
/Since 1988, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and our leadership have remained steadfast in fulfilling our mission to reduce instances of fraud and white-collar crime, as well as assist members in all aspects of fraud detection and deterrence. While it’s commonplace in today’s workforce to change companies and roles, one of the hallmarks of the ACFE is its ability to hire, train and facilitate growth of staff members to reinforce a culture of service and continue providing the first-class member experience established by ACFE Chairman Dr. Joseph T. Wells, CFE, CPA.
Few leaders have demonstrated a commitment quite like Jeanette LeVie, who is celebrating her retirement after 32 years of service to the ACFE.
Jeanette joined the ACFE in 1992, serving most recently as Chief Operating Officer overseeing all aspects of business operations. In addition to her role as COO, Jeanette served on the ACFE Foundation Board of Directors and was an advisory member to the ACFE Board of Regents. She held several other roles during her time with the ACFE including Vice President – Administration; Assistant to the Chairman; Project Manager; Publications Production Manager; and Liaison to the European Council on Fraud.
Jeanette is a true Jill-of-all-trades. Her contributions propelled the ACFE’s growth from only a dozen employees when she first started to more than 100 full-time staff members today who work at ACFE headquarters in Austin, Texas. Thanks to her work behind the scenes, ACFE membership expanded globally to more than 90,000 active members, more than 60,000 professionals today carry the distinction of being Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs) and thousands of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits are provided each year.
“Jeanette is the beating heart of the ACFE,” ACFE CEO John Warren said in a 2017 interview with Fraud Magazine. “[She’s] been an integral part of everything we’ve done and every important decision we’ve made. The ACFE wouldn’t be where it is today without her.”
Congratulations, Jeanette!

Andi has served as Research Manager, Director of Research and, most recently, Vice President of Education.
Carrie Kelly, J.D., CFE, SPHR, will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer after serving as Vice President of Operations since 2022. Carrie joined the ACFE in 2008 as an Associate General Counsel, and in November 2014, she became Director of Human Resources, leading all staffing and training and development initiatives for the organization.
Jeannie Kwong, CFE, CPA, will become Chief Financial Officer after several years as Vice President of Accounting and Finance.
