Each year, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) honors outstanding individuals and organizations who make significant contributions to fighting fraud. The ACFE is proud to recognize these exceptional individuals for their invaluable service in the ongoing fight against fraud through the ACFE Awards. Nominate a fellow ACFE member or local chapter for one of the ACFE’s prestigious awards by March 8, 2024.

Smolich, CFE, have been elected to the 2024–2025 ACFE Board of Regents. Fellow Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs) elected them from candidates selected by the Board's nomination committee. Smolich, Kanniah and Howell will take office in February 2024.

The Regents have sole authority over the admission of members, including, but not limited to, examination standards. They also establish Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements and are responsible for establishing, modifying and enforcing the CFE Code of Professional Ethics, as well as all other matters necessary to maintain the high standards of the ACFE. This year, nine candidates have been selected to fill three positions on the 2024-2025 Board of Regents.
